“SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS” STAR OF NICKELODEON’S POPULAR ANIMATED SERIES TO APPEAR AT THE LEXINGTON BARBECUE FESTIVAL ON OCTOBER 25th
Lexington, NC --
Greensboro, NC – May 12, 2008 – Nickelodeon, the number one entertainment brand for kids and Time Warner cable invite kids of all ages to meet SpongeBob, star of Nickelodeon's popular animated series SpongeBob SquarePants, on Saturday, October 25th at The Lexington Barbecue Festival. The Nickelodeon costumed character will at the festival in the Time Warner Family Area at 10:00am, 12 noon, 2:00pm and 4:00pm. SpongeBobwill be available to pose with kids and families to take photos.
Costume characters are a special feature of the Lexington Barbecue Festival. SpongeBob Square Pants is the latest in a series of costume characters brought in by Time Warner Cable. Previous characters include Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Tommy of the Rug Rats.
Currently one of Nickelodeon’s highest-rated series with kids ages 2-11, SpongeBob SquarePants chronicles the adventures of an unconventional sea sponge who lives in a two-story pineapple located in the sub-surface city of Bikini Bottom, and whose good intentions and overzealous nature usually create chaos in his underwater world.
Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants can be seen Monday – Friday at 5:00 pm and again at 6:30 pm and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 am on Time Warner Cable’s Nickelodeon Channel.
